A huge plus of this office revamp is I am finding so much stuff. Sorting and purging and piling and boxing and going through every piece of paper I have is never-ending, but super satisfying.

Part of my sorting process has been pulling aside anything label-like in red, green or neutral. (I can't source everything shown above, but if there is something specific, just ask in the comments and I'll try to tell you.) I am using one of my own holiday books to document December and am not planning on adding any extra papers, just photos and small embellishments.  I'm storing these pieces in a small box with my album and plan on just pulling from that once I get started.

My holiday book is not actually a December daily book. I'll just add anything that we do or I collect that feels "holiday-like" starting with the day after Thanksgiving and ending on New Year's Day. So a week from today it all begins!

I have also listed limited quanities of the holiday book covers for purchase on their own. If you are interested in having a holiday book or cover by December 1st, I recommend purchasing by next Wednesday, November 23rd.

Hey Elise – love the collection of products for your book! I’m curious about those fiber-looking stars. . .

I’m anxious to see it all come together! It looks like a great collection of fun, holiday items. Is there a reason that you’re not doing the daily part of December Daily?
I also can’t wait to see the full, “re-vamped” studio tour on Monday!
(Do you have a source for the ticket looking things? Or the green graph paper sticker right above it? Thanks!)

They were from Crate Barrel last year. Meant to trim a tree, I think. I cut off the little strings that were attached and will be stapling them down. 🙂

I dont do daily because our days are pretty non-holiday around here. I would rather not stress about getting daily things in and just focus on collecting the season (whatever that means to us). I imagine once we have little ones it might feel a bit more holiday (well have a tree, lots of presents to buy, school plays, etc.) and they Ill get more into daily. Maybe. The tickets I think are from Jenni Bowlin a few years ago. And the graph paper labels are unsourced.

Brought your Tis the Season book and like you I will be filling mine with random stuff. My two boys are grown..Will just photo wrapping presents, my small tree, a few of the decorations I put up, etc. Received my mixed journals yesterday in the mail, love them. Thanks for your blog, look forward to it.

I like how you are doing your book your way – that is my new philosophy when it comes to scrapbooking. I was making too many rules for myself and then going no where. So, this year, I am just going to make this book as I wish. I agree with you about making it more of a book about the holiday season, so it does not feel like a daily pressure. This is supposed to be fun, right?! 🙂

exactly. I feel like if I HAVE to fill a page everyday, Ill get discouraged and stop the whole thing if I miss one. So I skip that idea.

    Elise,
Your system is so totally worth imitating. I am going to fill a box right now and that is that. No more searching for the perfect thing because, really, whatever I choose is perfect. Your books are great.

Thanks Elise – I sorta thought they looked familiar, like I’d seen them before in one of your books. Turns out – I have – and I remembered it because they are in probably my favorite book of yours. The “whole” book from earlier this year. I look at it when I need “messy/non-linear” inspiration. I love it 🙂

I’m always so inspired when I see your little collections and odd and ends. I started gathering up little matching bits (embellishments, labels, stickers) for my December book after I saw this post. I had to come back and thank you 🙂

Thanks for sharing your embellishments! I also like the way you are doing your holiday book. I was wondering about the star burst stickers (do you know where you got them and are they kraft?) Also, I love the red file tab just under them. Can you tell me about it? Thanks!
