enJOY it

an archived personal and craft blog from Elise Blaha Cripe.

Last March, shortly after we got engaged, I proposed bridesmaid-ship to six of my girlfriends. (You can see how I asked them here.) Since March 24th, they have been sending me fun gifts on the 24th of each month as a countdown to our wedding on April 24, 2010. It's beyond generous of them and I get so excited when sweet package arrives every month.

One of my bridesmaids, Erin, is getting married on July 1st. We are keeping the countdown tradition alive for her wedding as well. I kicked off the gifts on November 1st with a stationery set that she and her finance, David, can use as "thank yous" for all the little things that happen between now and the wedding. Their colors are oranges and corals and reds – the wedding is taking place in Maui.

If custom stationery is something you are interested in, I have created a few listings on etsy. I was sad when the price of letterpress rental went up and I had to take down my custom letterpress stationery options. This is a good substitute for now (fingers crossed I can find my own press) and gives me a bit more freedom over the text layout and you a less expensive custom printing option. Feel free to email or convo me with questions.

Happy Thursday and happy ampersands.

Kayla, i was just about to mention that. i saw one advertised at Archivers. between the machine and the pack of all the “extra stuff” {which of course they sell separate!} it’s under $200.
i don’t know if that’s expensive or not, or if it’s a crap machine or not, but if there’s an archivers near you Elise, you should check it out!

I’ve seen it. And I’m curious. But you can’t custom make plates for it yet and there are very limited fonts available…very interesting. we’ll see…

Ooh, those are super sweet. They make me want to sit on the beach and drink fruity cocktails.

I am sure you have likely already been made aware of this, but I thought I would pass it along anyway. Letterpress for sale!

    Hey Elise-
I stumbled onto your blog sometime in the past few months and have been inspired by your craftiness.
Today, your “happy ampersands” quip made me smile. My husband got me an ampersand necklace last year for our 2 year anniversary, and I’ve worn it every day since then. (http://www.alexwoo.com/littleicons/littleletters/little-letter-and-in-sterling-silver.html) This weekend is actually our 3 year anniversary, so wishing “happy ampersands” seemed right on.
Anyway, keep up the awesome work. 🙂
