wedding plan : in review from elise blaha on Vimeo.

It's been forever! Here's a short video wrapping up my wedding planning session one. (I filmed this out on the balcony. And it's raining. So it's a little quiet.)

And now back to my regularly scheduled normal life.

PS : vimeo totally beats youtube.

hooray! you are so ahead of the game, my friend. lovely lovely. cannot wait to see you in that dress. and you are true. wedding dress means the dress you wear on that day, amen. i love that you are a clever bride. i had a train and bustled it up with buttons for our reception and dancing. dan kept stepping on it throughout the night, which caused a lot of laughter, but a silly dirty hem to dryclean.
am happy you feel like you in your dress. that is what’s most important. cheers to you.

I did all of my own flowers and it turned out beautifully. All of my girlfriends got to make their own bouquets. We had so much fun doing it. It’s one of my favorite memories. I loved how they turned out. So you’re not crazy, you’ll save a ton of money and you will know that they are just how you want them to be!

Ok, sorry I couldn’t resist. You inspired me to do a blog post on the diy flowers I did at my wedding. You can check it out if you want. I also used orange flowers.

I think doing your own flowers will turn out great. And even if not every single detail is 100% perfect (but I think they will be great because you are way crafty), no one will remember that – they’ll only remember the good times! We not only did our own flowers, but also the centerpieces, which I opted not to do flowers for. Instead, we actually ordered a bunch of bamboo online and made our own centerpieces with vases from Michael’s (then we let people take the centerpieces home afterwards). It went well with the overall “theme” since we had our ceremony at a Japanese garden.

    congrats on all your plans.
I got engaged at Christmas, but am also not getting marrided until 2010 (September actually) it feels a looong way off but we have also nailed our venue and caterers and now can concentrate on the smaller details. I am working on my “Save the Date” cards at the moment…are you making some?

What makes a wedding dress a wedding dress is most certainly NOT the train! It’s how you feel when you put it on – you could get married in a pair of pajama pants and a t-shirt and be the most beautiful bride in the world! I can’t wait to see all the details next year, when the big day finally arrives!!! Have fun with the rest of your planning!

NOOOO!!!! I love reading about the wedding stuff. I know it was all I could think and talk about for a year before mine and I think it’s really cool that you want to share it with us.
Feel free to turn this into wedding central, it’s what’s happening in your life right now and, what could be more exciting than this time??!?!?!?
I knew J Crew would be the choice 😉 Those dresses are to die for and the prices are even better.
Keep it comin’ I say 🙂

okay, found you through google reader and you are like the most adorable thing ever. 🙂
i did my own flowers for my wedding – totally low key, loved it. ordered them wholesale online and they were shipped to my door the day before so they could open up and i could put them together and tie them with ribbon. wouldn’t have done it any other way!

congratulations! you sound like you you have everything in the right perspective…at the end of the day the ONLY thing that really matters is that you are marrying the love of your life. when i married the love of my life less than 2 years ago we did a lot of diy projects (save the dates, invitations, flowers, centerpieces) & although stressful at times totally worth it. i lucked out & got a lot of stuff on craigslist (wedding planner cleaning house – vases, candles, etc.) & then was able to re-sell it after the wedding at more than i originally paid!
keep up the good work! can’t wait to hear more.
