I wore my mom’s dress and my grandma made it. It was great. Plus nice to have one less decision to make.

Nice that you fit into it, too. My mom’s dress was all covered in lace (now somewhat discolored 34 years later), and it’s never fit me. My mother was rather thin when she got married (at 21 years old).

Lovely. Dresses were so simpler then. Forget the the frills…spare and classic is the way to go. I wore my mom’s timeless prom dress to my prom years ago. Such a treat!

OK that is just freaky! I had a very similar (ok, almost identical) dress when I married my first husband back in 1981! And yah, that was 29 years ago! Any idea what the brand is on the dress? I am going to have to see if I can find a photo of me on our wedding day so I can share it with you…if you won’t get freaked out! 😉
