enJOY it

IMG_2601 It is hard to explain how much better yesterday turned out compared to Monday. For one, there was less crying. Less anger in general. There was 90% less television watched. And we still had thunderstorms, but they were outside, not in my person. Excellent.

IMG_2555 Overall, I kept the focus on the main thing. Staying productive. Sticking to a schedule. I worked myself. It was letterpress in the morning, and then lunch/email. Followed by planning for the workshop and making projects. I then took a 45 minute break to watch a DVRed Gossip Girl, before going back to projects until the gym at 5:00. WHAT A DIFFERANCE IT MADE! Monday in comparison was Operation : Bad Television Day. Yesterday, when Paul got home, I was excited to talk with him. Not anxious to chew his shoes or bark like a cooped up puppy.

IMG_2552 And hooray! I finished printing wedding invitations for a friend. They are completely her design and just lovely. I can't wait for you to see them Natalie! And I can't wait to order more plates for more letterpress projects…

Today! It's EARTH DAY! I need to focus on getting two more days of online workshop ready to run and do a little house clean up. I have already bought three BAGGU bags (what a fabulously designed Web site you have, Baggu!) and I am going to email Pottery Barn and Nordstorm (and any other catalogs I can find around here) and tell them I want off their catalog lists. Take it from me, large national chains, emails about sales are 100% more effective in getting my eyeballs on your merchandise. (Also, side note, Target is giving out one free resusable bag with your purchase this week. They're huge, just perfect for Target shopping trips.)

Also today, new letterpress prints! Inspired by the veronica family photo shoot, Mandie, a reader, suggested "main thing" prints. And I loved that idea. Thanks v! Thanks Tara! Thanks Mandie! Stephen Covey is the mastermind most attributed to the quote so let's also give him a ton of credit. Also, some twirl prints are available as well. Made with the fabulous Arturo paper. And seriously orange text? Can you beat it?

Hug a tree! Recycle! Ride your bike! (P, I can't wait to get bikes.)

nono! Why are you crying woman! Happy day! You’re planning a wedding… a wedding which will unite you and Mr. Right forever! Be so excited about the amazing adventures your life will be experiencing soon. And yea, your weather blows… but it’s all an experience! You’ve survived with a bug in the snow… you’ve worn rainbows out when the weather was– well not flip flop worthy (and didn’t lose any toes)… you get to craft and create every day with sizzors and glue and letter presses… and while you may have gotten a few scratches here and there you still have all your fingers! seriously… how many people can say all of that?
Oh… and you got to kiss under cherry blossoms. freakin’ sweet if you ask me. 😉

I really like the flip and tumble bag (I think I heard about it on kal’s blog..?). LOVE that it just rolls up into a ball! I bought reusable bags for my family at Christmas (envirosax Mikado series). My mom and sister both love theirs (and I wish I’d had one left to keep! oh well).

just for the record, while it is too bad you suffered a bad day last week, i am glad that you are still capable of being in a bad/sad/angry mood even though you are planning a wedding. i am assuming the person who said you should not cry b/c you are planning a wedding and marrying mr. right is not married – because being married sure does not solve most of life’s problems. the tears still come. a lot of the time it is nice to have someone to hold you while you shed them, but they still come.
hopefully she is friend who knows you well and is just trying to encourage you – not someone who is shaming you about your feelings because you have all sorts of good stuff going on too . . . and hopefully not someone who really believes that planning a wedding and having a husband will eliminate tears and frustration. just felt the need to clarify that a little bit.
