This is my favorite scrapbooking layout. Vintage 2007.

I remember taking the photo in my room (at my parents' house), printing it downstairs on the computer and coming back upstairs to complete this layout on the floor. Daiquiri (yes, daiquiri) in hand the whole time.

I had graduated from college eight days before. I was going to Europe in a little over a week. I was happy and excited about where I had been and where I was going.

This is not written anywhere on the layout but I remember it so well. I am so glad I captured this day in my life.

I got an email yesterday asking if my online workshop is suitable for beginners. Yes. Yes. Yes. This is a great class if you scrapbook OR if you don't scrapbook. This is even a great class if you think scrapbooking is a little bit lame. This is not a great class if you hate making stuff and writing down thoughts. I just want to put that on the table.

And I really need to pack for the apparently fridgid temperatures of Minnesota. I'm planning to be the girl in the dress without tights. Excellent. The awkward one from California.

Have a great weekend.

The weather in MN is unpredictable but I wouldn’t call it frigid (I live in the Minneapolis area). We’ve been bouncing back and forth between sunny t-shirt type days and dreary winter jacket days (ok, so maybe that is frigid). Anyway, tights are generally reserved for winter weddings. There will likely be many people without the tights at the wedding because once it is officially spring, us Minnesotans like to bare our pasty white legs in celebration.

The more I read about your workshop, the more I feel excited about it !
    I think you’ll count me in !
(by the way, how are we going to pay for it, paypal ?)
Here in Japan, the weather is still hesitating between winter and spring, making for really curious days : a bit of rain, a bit of sunshine, then again rain, then some crazy wind…!

Beautiful layout…and the story made me smile! There are definitely some perks this grown-up world, and daquiris are most certainly one of them!

Lovely! I’m a huge fan of your blog. 🙂
I saw that you are considering making those big paper flowers on Martha Stewart… I just posted up a some advice on how to make duplex paper: http://jchristinahuh.blogspot.com/2009/03/duplex-paper-adventures.html.
Hope it helps if you actually end up making them for your wedding!
