Time for a change. The old wall was fabulous but getting a little claustrophobic and schizophrenic. Fresh start for winter.

Further proof that I am feeling more inspired came last night when I could not – NO MATTER HOW MANY SHEEP – fall asleep. So instead of tossing and turning and developing carpal tunnel from trying to type while laying down, I got up and started making a December Daily Album. The original idea is of course Ali's and I am very excited to start my own this season.

Decemberpartone So far, I only have 18 days. Each patterned page will represent a day in December 1-25. I need to gather some more good papers but for now I am very excited. Simple construction: I cut chipboard pieces down to 5×7 and chose papers to cut to the same size. Slapped them together with a gluestick, punched two holes in each and bound with extra large book rings.

I plan on letterpressing a cover as well as the numbers 1-25 tomorrow at letterpress land. I am thinking of creating an art journal kit with similar pieces. Anyone interested in something like that?

Patterns from left to right and top to bottom: Anthropologie tissue paper, Paper Source (PS), unknown, vintage Christmas cookbook, PS holiday shopping bag, PS Lokta, PS flocked, PS Italian print, Snow and Graham, unknown, sisTV, Snow and Graham, vintage Christmas cookbook, unknown, PS, PS lokta, unknown (my favorite paper and I can never remember the brand…comes in a 12×12), PS Indian print.

would totally dig a kit (but i have so much unused x-mas paper–but i would loooove a letterpressed cover/numbers set. and maybe a couple of letterpressed christmas-y words like noel, snow, etc.)

I’m working on a December Daily album too. I decided to go with the same size that Ali is doing 9×6.75…big. And I used chipboard from notepads for the front/back covers.
Can’t wait to see yours when it’s done!

Really nice! I did Ali’s “week in the life”, so I think I’ll do this one, too, but I’m going to go with some 8X8 chipboard I have left over from packaging. Less cutting means less work! Can’t wait to see yours completed!

I love the patterns that you chose. I did that album last year too and will most likely do it again. It’s so fun and easy and I use up a ton of my Christmas stuff. I can’t wait to see what you do! December is right around the corner. 🙂
    Here’s mine from last year.

I wouldn’t mind the letterpressed numbers. Last year I used a foam stamp kit and paint but then I had to clean all of the stamps and that was annoying. 🙂

I just remembered that the year before last I did a Christmas Art Journal. Just thought you might want to see it. I was proud of it. a lot of good content in there. A lot of stuff I want to look back on when I’m older and have children.

love the inspiration! and ditto the comments about letter press numbers and covers (or pages to add in) – none of my pretty paper stash is letter press, so adding that would be lovely!
and if I’m seeing the pretty pink favorite for #17 right, it’s anna griffin sloane pink flower(http://www.paperaddict.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=AG1074&Category_Code=) – I know because I have a page of this in my stash…my favorite, though (from the same collection) is parisian (http://www.paperaddict.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=AG1073&Category_Code=) … the inside covers of my paper adventure project (http://www.flickr.com/photos/mere2007/2161611525/in/set-72157603617209386/)
