My favorite : Junk is Art. Top photo is a paper plate display in Anthropologie Reston. Bottom photo is a newspaper covered window display in J.Crew. Who comes up with this stuff? And can I meet them for a chat?

The paper plates are amazing! I actually met an Anthropologie-display creator the other day – he was wonderfully nice, quite gay, and had a gorgeously styled apartment. These people must just ooze the ideas that ends up in the displays.

I love the newspapers but the tree-hugger part of me really really really hopes that those paper plates were either already used or will be used, even though I know neither is true. So I hope they will be recycled at least. I’m from Oregon, I can’t help it. 🙂

i know, the visual merchandisers for anthro and jcrew are my favorites, they have the best jobs! my friend is a visual merchandiser for zgallerie and i keep nagging her to eventually move on to anthro or jcrew! the displays are ingenious.

The Anthropolgie window down in SoHo is amazing. Its tons and tons of books with the pages bellowing out. I have to take a picture.
