enJOY it

an archived personal and craft blog from Elise Blaha Cripe.

Oh geez.

Shame on me for mentioning the job on the blog. It was very poor timing. Because today I realized that I love where I work. I do. I just need to change it up a little bit.

The background: I decided in the middle of August to search for something new. Something closer to home. Something a little less intense. But realized that I have very little passion/attention span for things other than paper. I have gotten quite used to my action packed and double sided taped up days.

The point: I really do not want another job.

The verdict: I am just going to be stepping out of my current managerial role and into something a little more part time. A little more crafty. A little more just exactly what I need.

And my life makes sense again.

I hope I or anybody else who posted a comment didn’t make you feel guilty about the previous post. I’ve been following your blog for awhile and feel like you’re a good person that deserves to have a job and life that she loves. I wanted to send good thoughts your way as did the other commenters (I assume). Sometimes it can be hard to articulate thoughts through words on a screen. Just know that I wish the best for you and will continue to check your blog for artful inspiration and witty observation. Take care.

I am excited about your plan to stay. I think your decision is perfect. Sometimes it is nice to just sort glitter in the order of the color palette and chill out… all while getting paid. Plus the structure of working part-time is key! I always need a little pressure to finish projects.
I think that I actually wrote about this when I wrote about you…
