enJOY it

an archived personal and craft blog from Elise Blaha Cripe.

When I went to Europe, I brought a bag of "craft tools" to make an album while on the trip. It was the perfect place to keep all of the random ticket stubs, museum handouts, etc. The STUFF that you HAVE to collect while vacationing OR ELSE.

For Hawaii, I am bringing another tool bag filled with the following:

The pages of my book will be made out of STUFF that I find. And no gluestick this time. Just a stapler. And extra staples. Sometimes I get a little carried away with stapling things. And you never know when a shark may attack the beach and you'll need a shooting stapler.

scissors, date stamp, Paper Source circle stamp, StazOn black ink, Kolo photo dividers (turned into a mini book with a hole punch and bookrings), American Crafts slick writer, hole punch, Paper Source labels, office supply store hang tags, staples, stapler.

Very cool! Can’t wait to see what you do.
Such a good idea because not only will you be crafting “in the moment” capturing such great pieces, but you won’t ever have a stack of vacation pictures 6 months from now, sitting there unscrapped!

I hope you have fun in hawaii!! Who wouldn’t have fun in hawaii? Try surfing or touring volcanos! I’ve never thought to bring a scrap kit with me on vacation, but definitely will next time! Thanks for sharing.

ooohhhh, have fun! can’t wait to see the photos and the mini book – and very curious to see how you incorporate photos into the book (that’s always where I struggle with “here and now travel scrapbooking”). …ooohhh, have fun 🙂

i totally do this same thing. I have a little roll up thingie that i made and i fill it with necessary crafting supplies when i hit the road. A stapler is one of my necessities as well. And scissors…yes…and date stamp and Sharpie. All good things.
Things we paper lovers can’t live without. 😉

    I hope you’ll have fun here(Hawaii)!
    And LOL about the staples…
I like the supplies you took though, not too much, but still enough.
I must do the same for my DC trip.
Thanks for the inspiration, Elise! 🙂
