Mboleyn_2Meet Mary Boleyn. Is she not smokin’ hot? And this photo was taken before there was photoshop. I know. Stunning.

Seriously though, The Other Boleyn Girl. It is making me want to learn English history. Yesterday I googled King Henry VIII because I wanted to know more about this whole time period. Because it seems so amazing.

And I am only on page 170ish.

Because I am trying my best to savor the book, I am doing other things. Like stalking the boards at SIStv. Because seriously? That is the coolest scrapbook site ever.

And I am also slowllllly making my way though these:Img_4736

Yes, yes, those are photos. Unfortunately, Mary Boleyn is not in them.Img_4739

This is my typewriter. Well, if we want to get technical, it is Mom’s. And I think she got it from our old neighbors. But it is very cool to work with. Mary Boleyn would be proud of my rejection of current technology.

Get crafty, Blogland.

Hever Castle was the childhood home of Anne Boleyn and it is a stunning place, really beautiful. Perhaps you’re planning to see Kent on your Europe tour…Hever Castle is worth visiting if so.

Don’t savour! Read indulge enjoy! Then get onto The Constant Princess, which is sort of the prequel to The Other Boleyn Girl. Phillippa Gregory is great! But steer clear of the Wideacre trilogy that was ummm a little bit incestuous!

Of all the history of England Tudor History is the most lavish & amazing. Henry VIII was dreadful with his 6 wives but I love this period best. I did a pencil lines sketch a while back & used him & all 6 together. I even cross stitched him once for a friend!! Phillipa Gregory is a fantastic author & if you want facts about history, Antonia Fraser is the business.x
