These are a few of my favorite things.
Seriously considering having "joy" tattooed on the inside of my left wrist. I had it inked on there in Cabo and fell in love.
Of course there are things to consider: wrinkly old skin and my wedding day. Not sure how it will effect my wedding, but everything permanent makes me think of my wedding day. Like in Kindergarten, when I accidentally stabbed my finger with a pencil and the lead got stuck inside, marking me forever. I remember being five-years-old and thinking, "I am going to have this lead dot when I walk down the aisle." Girls are weird. I blame Barbies.
Obsessed with Eat Pray Love by Elizabeth Gilbert. I saw it in multiple bookstores and then decided to purchase when Emily linked it up on the blog. Best decision ever. I am only a third through but love it. Last night, without even trying, I found the coolest paragraph:
One night in a town somewhere on the Mediterranean, in a hotel room by the ocean, the sound of my own laughter actually wakes me up in the middle of my deep sleep. I am started. Who is that laughing in my bed? The realization that it is only me just makes me laugh again. I can’t remember now what I was dreaming. I think maybe it had something to do with boats.
I have a strange desire to become this woman when I grow up. Or at least build a shrine to her book. And force my children to read it.
Look how cool my boyfriend is.
No seriously. How cool is he? At least I know we will never be attacked by brightly colored plates. Buzz Lightyear’s wing-man and wing-woman comin’ atcha, folks.
