enJOY it

an archived personal and craft blog from Elise Blaha Cripe.

A week ago, M Grant had to write an essay for pharmacy school about something that she has learned about people.

And I told her she should write about resilience.

Because at the end of the day…that is what we are.  Resilient.

And it is weird.  Because I think that people think resilience comes from within.  But it does not.  It comes from the surroundings.  My resilience comes from my girls.  From the 55 that I live with.  From the noise that I hear when i close my eyes on the bus ride back from the exchange.  From the fact that life goes on.

People keep living.  Things keep happening.  People sympathize and then they move on.  Which is EXACTLY what should happen.  Because routine and normalcy breed resiliency.  And I love it.  I need it.

I do not know that I did not get the Gap job.  But I do know that regardless I will be okay.
