I have been a very bad blogger.
And to myself, and to typepad, and to the $8.95 that leaves my checking account every month to keep this thing up and running, I must apologize.
Because it is not that nothing has been happening.
It is just that instead of developing my thoughts into blog entries, I have been compressing them until they fit into the bubbles on my scantrons. Which while a fun coloring project, is not very insightful.
However.
I am going to have to start thinking outside the bubble. Outside the 8.5 X 11 piece of paper. I have to start doing some real thinking. Creative thinking. Thinking that could get me a job, not a passing grade.
I fly up to San Francisco on Friday to interview with Gap Inc. And on that day I have to present a concept. And it is so different than filling in a scantron. Or giving a presentation for class. It is sort of like school is a play that your friends and family come to to cheer you on. And now I just looked into the crowd and realized that, "Oh…Hey…Look, Elise, those people sitting in front of you? The ones listening to you speak? They do not know who you are. Show them why they should care."
Six days and counting. Make it work.
