Img_2311Three hours after the spider funeral, we were still awake.  Awake enough to notice that the Spider had crawled out of it’s grave and was making it’s way across the ceiling.  Obviously the best solution was to just duct tape it again – without the paper towel this time.

But when I got within range, I hesitated.  And missed.  But I got two legs taped down before he jumped.  On to Megan’s bed.

We spotted him.  Jenny screamed.  The shock of the noise sent him to the floor.  He was slow because now he was just a normal six-legged insect.  So I smashed him with my slipper.  Then duct taped a new grave.  X marks the spot.

And after we turned out the lights and J and I decided that the duct tape plan might not have been the best, I started thinking about sorority recruitment.  How all the houses invest so much time into having the freshest flowers and the cutest bedspreads.  How we think we can convince girls that pretty rooms are what living in a sorority is all about.

If only we could explain to the rushees that one of the best nights will be when they build a duct tape graveyard with their roommates..

Because seriously, last night?  Solid.
