enJOY it

Eighteen years and 256 days ago I looked at this little one for the first time.  And probably felt more than a little bit awestruck.  Tonight I feel more than a lot awestruck.  In awe of the Little Brother That Grew.  Into a young man.  A man who makes everyone who knows him feel blessed.  A man who can bring his immediate family to tears.  A man of few words, who speaks each with complete sincerity.

Robbie thanked me tonight for "setting the bar" for him.  He told Mom that she "doesn’t have to worry" because she raised him right.  And he told Dad that he was honored to have him as his "biggest fan."

Yeah, we all felt pretty loved.

And it feels so good.

Robert Francis, you are inspiring.  I pray for you and look forward to seeing where you go.  What you do.  But I do not have to look forward to seeing who you become.  Because I already have.  And bro?  It is pretty cool.

And as Mom reminded us tonight: Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you where ever you go.  Joshua 1:9

And I am here too, Ro.  For sure.
