A couple minutes ago I was driving home from work mentally blogging about my job. About how when I get done for the day I have nothing to say about it. And how that is sad. I realized that while I do not want to be one of those people who always talks about work, I also do not want to be one of those people who are so indifferent to what they are doing that they clock-in and clock-out and that is it. Because I hope to find a job filled with passion. A job that most the time I love although at times I hate. A job that stimulates me and becomes apart of my life. Even at home.
But anyways. That is what I wanted to say. But I walked in the door and heard about something better.
"Dad got the job!" Holler.
Dad interviewed two weeks ago to take over for his boss that just left the company. And he got it. So cool, dude. I hope when I am at my sixth/tenth (what number is it?) company and am getting old (no offense, Dad) I am still a desirable candidate for a promotion. I hope I am like Dad, in that I go into an interview and talk it up. And tell them what I am going to do. And convince them that I am going to do it well. Because that is what Dad did. And it worked. Because he cares. Because he has passion.
And I know that because he talked about it to me. While he was at home.
Congrats, Dad. We should go buy things.
Annnnd in other news…Look! I won!!
