It is no secret that I am a large customer of Target. That I eat it up. That I think there should be a TV show that plays Target commercials. I would tune in every week. I would get someone to TiVO it and I would watch it over and over. Mom and I go to Target for entertainment. I go to Target to recharge. To be surrounded by product. By design. By goods.
Right. So I am pretty much fascinated. By the brand they have created. By the image they portray to the consumer.
And then I entered the backroom. And realized that the brand extends. In every direction. Target is as clean, crisp, fast, and effective behind the scenes as they are on screen. They have it. All of it. Together. In a package. That they can roll out store after store. And deliver the same brand to the employees that they give to guests.
So totally mind-boggling to see a company present such a well-researched and carefully crafted image. So inspiring. Cannot help but realize that this is what I am trying to do personally. Be the same internally as the image I present to the world. Treat self with respect. Think good thoughts about others. Be sincere. Be the brand. My brand. Such a process. Such a challenge. Glad to have Target as an example.
