I frequently tell people that "I burned out in high school." Which sounds a lot worse than it is. In reality, I worked very very hard to get very good grades. Nearly perfect grades. And my grades got me to college. And in college I took a breath.
For me, course grades are letters. Significant, but not the end of the world. I am much more concerned with the "Learning Factor." What am I taking out of this class? Does this lecture have a point? How will this case study effect my future decisions? What skills should I be using?
If I get a B, but learned how to be a better communicator, writer, thinker: Success.
In college, I have learned to let the little things slide. To focus on the real lessons. To prepare myself for the real world. The world where what I do means something and grades do not. I am not a professional student. But I am trying to be a professional.
