Less than 36 hours until the big day.
Been trying to convince Mom that I am not going to take 21 shots. While I do think it would be fun to DIE on my birthday, I have decided against that ritual. So no fear. In the words of Minerva McGonagall, "It will be a night of well-mannered frivolity" And to clarify, "frivolity" is defined by dictionary.com as n 1: the trait of being frivolous; not serious or sensible 2: something of little value or significance 3: acting like a clown or buffoon. "Well-mannered" is defined as: adj 1: of good upbringing 2: socially correct in behavior. That sounds about right.
Also reading The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. Great book. Sally has already read it, and she underlined all the great quotes. It’s like she is guiding me through the book. Here is one of my favorites: "When each day is the same as the next, it’s because people fail to recognize the good things that happen in their lives every day that the sun rises." Fabulous.
All my roommates are coming home today. These girls. They will be back and the room will no longer empty. Getting ready to celebrate…
